Encouragement & Discipleship for Missionaries

Encouragement to missionaries is the primary motivation for the creation of EDI.  Lou Schneider visited missionaries in their field of service and also counseled with them while they were in the USA.  He realized  missionaries are people who face many day to day struggles in their ministry and needed encouragement, but had little resource on which to fall back on.

EDI encourages missionaries by:

	Being there with them on the field, spending time with them share their heart aches and their joys of ministry.
	Teaching Bible studies for them.
	Preaching in a church service for them.
	taking a missionary family to a retreat.
	Listening to them.  Being a sounding board for their ideas, frustrations, or
	Discipling them in how to deal with problems.
	Giving them a source of accountability for their ministry, family and spiritual walk.
	Giving gifts as our Lord provides.
	exchanging email messages for counseling, words of insight or consulting.
