EDI has taken 47 trips to 55 cities in 21 countries

Suriname, South America January 1995

For four weeks, our team rebuilt a church in the jungle village. Lou taught from Philippians each morning and preached twice each Sunday. We took a $6,000 power saw to be used in cutting lumber as well as gifts for the children.

Milan Italy April 1995

An EDI team renovated a church, held in the basement of an apartment building. We worked on this for eight days, removing mold from the walls and applying waterproofing materials to correct the problem. Lou preached at their services and we were able to encourage the missionaries.

Athens, Greece June 1995

Lou taught a Christian camping course at the greater Europe Mission Institute.

Bonn, Germany 1995 - 1997

Courses were taught at the Biblical Seminary, youth ministry seminars were conducted, mentoring of administration and ministry to missionaries carried out.

Egleton, France 1995 - 2000

Assisted Bob Misegades and his family construct a building to be used as a "bed and Breakfast" for evangelical purposes. EDI's contribution over these years was to send work team over, procure materials, give financially and provide encouragement. Project is finished.

Malawi, Africa October 1996

Lou ministered for five weeks with the Zambezi Evangelical Church. This involved teaching nationals, holding conferences with 80 pastors and 250 youth workers, visiting and preaching in village churches and mentoring the leadership staff.

Aracaju, Scringepi, Brazil 1996

An EDI board member helped to build a church during an evangelistic crusade with the Southern Baptist Denomination.

Sao Paulo, Brazil August 1998

Lou spoke morning and evening to 300 seminary students during a "Spiritual Life" conference at Word of Life Seminary. He also preached on the weekend in the church.

Ukraine 1997 - 2000

Lou has taught at the Ukraine Bible Institute in Kiev several times each year. This is administered by campus Crusade.

Lou traveled to 10 other cites in the Ukraine during his time with Ministry to Eastern Europe and the Bonn, Germany group. He taught national students, pastors and lay leaders. He has preached in the Sunday services and mentored young pastors.

Pietermaritzburg, South Africa April 1998

Lou spoke to TEAM missionaries at their annual field conference for five days. EDI collected and sent 1500 Bibles, books on Theology and Doctrine and materials on Christian Living for missionaries, pastors and students in their five institutes.

Moscow, Russia April 1999

Lou taught at Homiletics and Bible Study Methods for three weeks at Campus Crusade's New Life institute.

Durban, South Africa July 1999

At their annual field conference, Lou spoke to SIM-AEF missionaries. AEF had just joined with SIM.
